My arch for Inkurable Gothic Arches #23: Signs Of The Zodiac. No Zodiac stamps in my collection, so I searched for an image on the internet and found this site. Cuttlebug embossing, and sponging with Distress inks.

Gothic Arch - Mythical Creatures

A year of challenges at Inkurable Gothic Arches is almost over. This is Challenge #22, Mythical Creatures, not an easy one for me.

Stamping and sponging with Distress Inks.

Gold embossing on the edges.

Nog een paar Gothic Arches moeten er gemaakt worden, voor de jaar-uitdaging bij Inkurable Gothic Arches. Thema 22 is Mythical Creatures, geen makkelijk onderwerp vind ik.

Gestempeld en gesponst met Distress inkt. Randen zijn goud geëmbossed.

Theme #21 at Inkurable Gothic Arches is Spooky. It would be silly to post it after Halloween, so today I had to make one. I think it doesn't look too spooky....

Still 3 Arches to go, to complete all 2010 themes.

Thema #21 bij Inkurable Gothic Arches is Spooky. Lang genoeg uitgesteld, vandaag moest ze gemaakt worden, na Halloween zou een beetje stom zijn.

Gothic Arch - All About Me

Theme #19 at Inkurable Gothic Arches is All About Me. A good reason to use my own stamp again, here's the story about the stamp.

I heat embossed the dots background, masked the image and sponged with Distress Inks.

Thema #19 bij Inkurable Gothic Arches is All About Me. Geeft me een goede reden om mijn eigen stempel nog eens te gebruiken, waar je meer over kan lezen in dit blogbericht.

De stipjesachtergrond is kleurloos geëmbossed. De afbeelding afgeplakt en de achtergrond gesponst met Distress inkt.

So, I used my own stamp, my handwriting (which I don't like), and listed the things that are important to me.

Voor dit thema heb ik dus mijn eigen stempel gebruikt, mijn handschrift (dat ik absoluut niet mooi vind), en de dingen opgenoemd die belangrijk voor me zijn.

Inkurable Gothic Arches Challenge #18 is Flowers.

Flower stamps I used are good old favorites from Hero Arts' Real Flowers series. Graph Background and words by Hero Arts too. Heat emboss resist with Distress Inks.

Voor het thema Bloemen bij Inkurable Gothic Arches heb ik de goeie ouwe bloemenstempels van Hero Arts nog eens gebruikt. Resist techniek met Distress inkt. De ruitjesachtergrond en tekst zijn ook Hero Arts stempels.

These are all arches I made so far, for the 2010 challenges at Inkurable Gothic Arches. Still 6 arches to go. It's time to start thinking about how I'm going to put them together in a book.

Gothic Arch - Christmas

Inkurable Gothic Arches Challenge #13 was posted : Christmas.

As I was looking for Christmas stamps I found some stamped images from last Christmas in one of my Darkroom Door tins. So I used those.

I colored the background with Distress Inks. The star brad is heat embossed with gold to match the ornament and edges.

Bij Inkurable Gothic Arches zijn een paar nieuwe uitdagingen gepost, uitdaging #13 is Christmas. Bij het uitzoeken van stempels voor deze arch vond ik een paar kant-en-klare afdrukken van vorige kerst in één van de Darkroom Door blikjes. Dus heb ik die gebruikt. Achtergrond is met Distress Inkt gekleurd. De zilverkleurige ster is met goud geëmbossed, zodat ze bij de rest past.

Ik probeer mijn achterstand ivm de Inkurable Gothic Arches weg te werken. Deze is voor het thema stof.

Gothic Arch - Paint

Inkurable Gothic Arch #11 : Paint

I stamped with Versamark, heat embossed with clear embossingpowder.

Sponged on Twin Tone acrylic paint from Eberhard Faber, and wiped off some off the paint after letting it dry for a while, to reveal the embossing again. That's when the second color of the paint shows up too.

Met Versamark inkt gestempeld, kleurloos geëmbossed. Met een sponsje de Twin Color acrylverf van Eberhard Faber aangebracht, beetje laten drogen en een deel weer afgeveegd om de gestempelde afbeelding weer tevoorschijn te laten komen. De tweede kleur in de verf zie je ook meteen.

Gothic Arch - Steampunk

Inkurable Gothic Arches #10 : Steampunk.

I used metal tape on cardstock, embossed in the Cuttlebug. Painted with black acrylic paint, and wiped off.
Metalen tape op cardstock geplakt, door de Cuttlebug gehaald, met zwarte acrylverf geschilderd en weer afgeveegd.

I struggled with this theme. But then I remembered I had these postages stamps somewhere in my stash. Background is done with Distress Ink.

Was geen makkelijk thema voor mij. De postzegels die ik nog ergens tussen mijn spullen vond kwamen van pas. Achtergrond is met Distress inkt gemaakt.

Gothic Arch - Asia

Sarah posted Gothic Arch challenge #9, the theme is Asia.

I stamped the Geisha (freebie stamp from Craft Stamper Magazine) with Archival Ink #Jet Black, colored the image with pencils. I masked the stamped image with a Spellbinders Label 12 die cut and colored the background with Distress Ink #Fired Brick & Vintage Photo. The branches and heat embossed blossoms are stamps from Art Journey. I crimped the whole arch and glued it onto another layer, so all my arches are the same size. (Hope to do all 24 challenges this year, and put the arches together in a book)

De Geisha stempel was een freebie bij het blad Craft Stamper. Gestempeld met Archival Ink #Jet Black en ingekleurd met potloden. Label 12 van Spellbinders als masker gebruikt, en de achtergrond met Distress Inkt #Fired Brick & Vintage Photo gesponst. De takjes en geëmbosste bloesems zijn stempels van Art Journey. De arch door de ribbelaar gehaald en op een ander laagje cardstock geplakt, zodat al mijn arches hetzelfde formaat hebben. Ik hoop dit jaar alle 24 uitdagingen mee te doen, en de arches in een boekje te bundelen.
