Sunday Scraps - 97

It's another tag today. My plan is to use it as a cover for a little photo album, with a page for each month of the new year.

This Tim Holtz Alterations Die "Tag & Bookplates" is probably my most used die at this moment. The tag is cut from packaging, the bookplate is from the same packaging, but it shows the other side. Some corrugated cardboard from my box of scraps too. I used a bit of gesso and stamped with India Ink Black and Distress Ink #Aged Mahogany.

Weer een label vandaag. Ik ben van plan om het als kaft te gebruiken voor een mini fotoalbum, met een pagina voor elke maand van volgend jaar.

Deze Tim Holtz Alterations Die "Tag & Bookplates" is mijn meest gebruikte stans de laatste tijd. Het label is uit verpakking gestanst, de bookplate ook maar daar heb ik de andere kant als voorkant gebruikt. Golfkarton uit de restjesdoos. Gesso gebruikt, en gestempeld met India Ink Black en Distress Inkt #Aged Mahogany.

This week's Black & White creation as a mini album. I cut a tag using Tim Holtz' Alterations "Tag & Bookplates" stamped the Star Background from Darkroom Door, and folded it into a cover. The bookplate is from the same Alterations die.

Mijn zwart-wit creatie van deze week is een mini boekje. Met de Tim Holtz Alterations stans "Tag & Bookplates" een label uitgestanst, een achtergrondstempel van Darkroom Door er op afgedrukt en een kaftje geplooid. Versierd met een uitgestanste bookplate.

The pages are glued together, no bookbinding here. I got this idea from a gift I received from Sylvie

De bladzijden zijn aan elkaar geplakt, er kwam geen boekbinden aan te pas. Gezien bij een kadootje dat ik van Sylvie ontving.

Holiday Tag

I stamped the holly on a watercolored background, embossed the stars in the Cuttlebug.

De hulststempel is afgedrukt op een gekleurde achtergrond. Sterren geëmbossed in de Cuttlebug.

The big tag was cut out with Tim Holtz Alternations #Tag and Bookplates in the Cuttlebug. "Joy" was stamped on a mini label with India Ink Black.

I used Distress Inks and pencils to color the image.

Today I stamped and heat embossed Hero Arts Friend Definition on vellum, cut it and heat embossed the edges too. Punched circles as tag toppers and matching wooden beads.

Hero Arts Friend Definition op vellum gestempeld en geëmbossed. Uitgesneden en de randjes ook geëmbossed. Bovenaan afgewerkt met een geponst rondje en een bijpassende houten kraal.

The scraps I started with: Ecoline backgrounds and scraps of vellum I used ages ago to punch some flowers.

Met deze restjes begonnen: Ecoline achtergrondjes en een paar stukjes vellum waar ik heel lang geleden bloemen uit geponst heb.

Angel Tag

Time to use some good old favorite stamps again. Love this angel from Hero Arts.

Alcohol Ink background on glossy cardstock.

Nog eens een paar gouwe ouwe stempels tevoorschijn gehaald, het leuke engeltje is van Hero Arts. Achtergrond is gemaakt met alcohol inkt op glanzend kaartkarton.

The angel is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, heat embossed and colored with twinkling H2Os.

De engel is gestempeld met Versafine Onyx Black, en geëmbossed met kleurloos poeder.

The triangle shapes at the top of these tags are left-over pieces from this little house I made: click

De driehoekjes bovenaan deze labels zijn overschotjes van een huisje dat ik deze week maakte: klik.

I stamped on a piece of cardstock that had Glimmer Mist on it from another project. I stamped with Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy and inked the edges with Bundled Sage to match the green Glimmer Mist.

Met Distress Ink #Brushed Corduroy gestempeld op een stuk kaartkarton, er zat nog Glimmer Mist op van een vorig project. De randen met Distress Inkt #Bundled Sage gesponst, zodat het bij de Glimmer Mist past.

I stitched the pieces together and glued them onto the brown cardstock. After cutting it out, I finished it off with twine and a button, and added the words.

De delen samengestikt en op bruin kaartkarton geplakt. Uitgeknipt en met een touwtje, knoop en tekststempel afgewerkt.

I heat embossed the Starburst Lace stamp and colored the tag with Glimmer Mist #Raven.

De kantstempel is geëmbossed met kleurloos embossingpoeder, daarna de tag gekleurd met Glimmer Mist #Raven.

I didn't want to waste the Glimmer Mist, so I picked it up from my craftsheet with these ATC-size pieces of cardstock. No idea what I'm going to do with them yet.

De Glimmer Mist of het craftsheet wou ik niet verloren laten gaan, dus heb ik er witte ATC kaartjes mee gekleurd. Nog geen idee wat ik ermee ga doen.

A quick and easy tag for my black & white series. I stamped the Plaid Background on a white tag, used a black & white photochip from Darkroom Door. "Dream" is from one of their wordstrips.

Darkroom Door - French Script Background

The cover of this tag book is cut from Darkroom Door's montage sheet Full Bloom. I stamped the French Script background with Distress Ink #Brushed Corduroy.

I love the size of Darkroom Door's background stamps. I cut 6 tags from cardstock, stamped the French Script on 3 of them, and the Dots Background on the other tags.

I used the Tonic paper distresser on all edges.

Een tag uit de Full Bloom Montage sheet van Darkroom Door geknipt, en als kaftje gebruikt voor dit labelboekje. Met Distress Inkt #Brushed Corduroy de French Script Background er op afgedrukt.

Zes labels geknipt uit cardstock. Gestempeld met de French Script background en de Dots background. Alle randen met de Tonic paper distresser rafelig gemaakt.

Retake on Thinking Inking - Week 5

My entry for 2Peas "Retake on Thinking Inking" tag swap. Week 5 was about alcohol inks.

Mijn bijdrage voor de "Retake on Thinking Inking" tag swap op 2Peas. Week 5 ging over alcohol inkt.

The inks I used to create the background on glossy cardstock.
Deze kleuren heb ik gebruikt om de achtergrond te maken op glanzend cardstock.

I colored a piece of glossy cardstock with Espresso, Copper Mixatives and Blending Solution. I used it to punch the heart and tag topper.

Een stukje glanzend cardstock gekleurd met Espresso, Copper Mixativives en Blending Solution. Hier heb ik de hartjes en cirkels uit geponst.

Paper flower and clear button are colored with Pesto and Copper. I used a brad to secure the flower to the heart.

Papieren bloem en knoop gekleurd met Pesto en Copper. De bloem voor alle zekerheid vastgemaakt met een splitpen.

Retake on Thinking Inking - Week 4

Another set of tags, made for the "Retake on Thinking Inking" Challenge on 2Peas.

We used techniques from Jennifer McGuire's videos from week 4.
Een paar tags, gemaakt voor de "Retake on Thinking Inking" uitdaging op 2Peas. We gebruikten technieken uit de videos van Jennifer McGuire, week 4.

I started with Distress Crackle Paint #Scattered Straw on my tag, and inked with Distress Ink #Aged Mahogany and Pumice Stone. The stamping was done with Distress Ink #Aged Mahogany and Archival Ink #Jet Black.

I painted the chipboard numbers/letters with Distress Crackle Paine #Frayed Burlap, inked them with #Aged Mahogany.

Adding shine is one of the techniques in these videos too, I used Judikins Diamond Glaze on the chipboard. It also protects the crackle paint in the mail.

Ik begon met Distress Crackle Paint #Scattered Straw op het label, gesponst met Distress inkt #Aged Mahogany en Pumice Stone. Gestempeld met #Aged Mahogany en Archival inkt #Jet Black.

De chipboard letters en cijfers met een laagje Distress Crackle Paint #Frayed Burlap bedekt, en goed laten drogen, zonder heatgun. Weer met #Aged Mahogany gesponst.

Eén van de technieken uit de videos is glans toevoegen, daar gebruikte ik Judikins Diamond Glaze voor. Zo is de verf meteen ook goed beschermd tijdens 't verzenden.

Retake on Thinking Inking - Week 3

Tags I made for a swap on 2Peas, based on Jennifer McGuire's Thinking Inking classes.

I cut my tags from black cardstock, stamped and heat embossed the flowers Hero Arts). Applied acrylic paint (Adirondack paint dabbers) and wiped off to reveal the embossed image.

I also colored the stamped butterfly (Darkroom Door) and die cut (Tim Holtz alternations) with Distress inks. Partial stamping (Hero Arts dots) on the background, but it doesn't show up very well. I added white highlights with a pen.
Labels gemaakt voor een ruil op 2Peas, gebaseerd op Jennifer McGuire's Thinking Inking videos.

Labels geknipt uit zwart kaartkarton, bloemen (Hero Arts) gestempeld en geëmbossed, daarna de hele tag met acrylverf bedekt (Adirondack paint dabbers) en weer afgeveegd om de afdruk tevoorschijn te laten komen. De gestempelde vlinder (Darkroom Door) en uitgestanste krul (Tim Holtz alternations) met Distress inkt gekleurd. Achtergrond gedeeltelijk gestempeld met Hero Arts dots, maar die zie je amper. Witte accentjes aangebracht met een pen.

Retake on Thinking Inking - Week 2

Stampers on 2Peas are doing a challenge, following Jennifer McGuire's Thinking Inking classes. These are my tags for week 2.

The techniques I used from Jennifer's videos are heat emboss resist (white ferns), embossing with Distress embossing powder (flower) and faux epoxy (butterfly).
Stempelaars op 2Peas houden een uitdaging, gebaseerd op de Thinking Inking videos van Jennifer McGuire. Dit zijn mijn tags voor week 2.

Gebruikte technieken uit de videos zijn heat emboss resist (witte varens), embossen met Distress embossingpoeder (bloem) en faux epoxy (vlinder).

7 layers of clear embossing on the stamped butterfly, for a faux epoxy look.
7 lagen kleurloos geëmbossed op de gestempelde vlinder, zo ziet ie er uit als epoxy.

Stamps: Hero Arts (ferns and flower) and Darkroom Door (words and butterfly)
