Lime Trees in Bloom...

Lime trees in Munich are in full bloom now and the wind carries their perfume everywhere. It arrives in little clouds full of scent even on my balcony on the 13th floor. How I love this scent! It is heavy, sometimes nearly austere because it is so strong.

I wonder how often people look at these trees which are so common here and really appreciate this lovely smell and their beautiful little blossoms. They ARE beautiful, hanging in real clusters from their stems, each of them carrying a little crown made of filaments...

Plushy yellow Bushes...

These bushes with the plushy yellow blossoms you can see here everywhere in spring. The colour is the pure sun just like sunflowers. It is as if they bring back the sunlight and bees love them as you can hear their buzzing allover.

Look close...

How often do we oversee the little things? We pay attention to things which are rather obvious, which jump into your face. Often you have to look really close in order to see the peculiarities of little things - in this case tiny blossoms.

I have visited this very same bush a couple of times. It has become a personal issue! But still - I somehow don't like this bush - you want to know why? Each time I am standing in front of it to photograph its tiny blossoms I am devoured by ants. So this is the ant bush for me. Apparently they consider me as an intruder into their home. And who could blame them for this?

People who might have watched me not only cycling through the same little streets for the 100th time in order to photograph the same gardens for the 200th time certainly will assume that I am nuts, jumping from one foot to the other like a loony - to get rid of the ants again who try to conquer my legs. But then I AM nuts, my aunt was it too. So what?

And don't forget to click on the photos - they are large!

More creeping Colours...

That makes your heart jump - doesn't it? I could stand in front of these and just suck in those colours in order to not forget them ever again....

Maples are beautiful not only in Autumn...

This year I realized for the first time (a shame - I admit it) how beautiful maples look in spring not only in autumn. The fresh, dark red or maroon shiny leaves and the yellow/lemon colour of the blossoms create a wonderfully warm composition. Together with a blue sky on a sunny day this image is at least as beautiful as any other blooming tree. The secret is to look close - sometimes beauties can only be discovered at second sight...

A Field of Tulips...

I don't know whether you have this opportunity anywhere else than in Germany: the owner of a field grows all kinds of flowers, implements a stand with some sort of cash point which then means you can cut your flowers yourself and then you are expected to pay for the flowers you have cut. There is no-one who really surveys this and sadly enough I doubt that everyone is so honest to really pay for what s/he has taken. But this is another theme.

I love these fields of flowers because you are given the opportunity to walk (carefully) through all these glories, to look at them at short distance and to snap a photo or hundreds of them if you like. No-one will stop you. This is simply heaven. You can indulge in all these colours and forms. After some time your knees and your back begins to hurt - I would say this is regularly the end of the endeavour.

Here only a few of those lovelinesses...

Garden Dreams...

Unfortunately we don't own a garden right now so I HAVE to rummage the gardens of our neighbourship. I am often seen - probably people consider me nuts in the meanwhile. Many might have seen me repeatedly, standing at fences and raving and drooling over the lovely treasures other people are calling their own, clickin' the camera again and again and wondering why this crazy woman is photographing those "ordinary" flowers for the 100th time. But probably I am going to take pictures for the 101rst time - I am sure...

The Dance of Spiraea and Forsythia...

Spring was very short this year but mother nature compensated us for this with the blooming of many plants at the same time - so you could enjoy blossoms which normally appear one after the other such as these - the dance of spiraea and forsythia:

Tulips with yellow Blooms but...

...somehow they are reminiscent of a flamenco dancer to me because of that tiny red rim just like the dancer's dresses - don't you agree?

Blooms - It's only Wallcress but the Colours...

I love wallcress. Tiny little flowers which are often neglected but did you realize that if they are cared for with love they become real jewels - the colours are so intense, amazingly beautiful in their simplicity - but see for yourself...

Tulips on the fields are always a spectacular view - all those colours which please the eyes and compensate for the long dull months of winter...

The Blooms of Narcissus...

Nothing special but I like this photo specifically because of the pattern and structures the leaves are forming - there is a lot of movement here

The one the Header is from...the Blossoms of Forsythia

Forgot to show you the photo the header is currently cropped from - an exceptionally beautiful forsythia - more or less near to where I live. What I like is that this one was kept quite natural - I don't like those artificial cuts on blossom bushes...

A glorious Composition - Blossoms of Cherry and Forsythia...

Normally you won't see this composition here because when the cherries start to bloom the forsythia are already gone. But this year everything is different again...

Forsythia Blossoms - full Bloom

I cannot explain why but this year the Forsythia seem to be exceptionally beautiful and intense in their colours. Maybe it's because they had to wait for so long to be able to bloom - 2 months later than usual!!
